Galveston FeatherFest 2017 will be celebrating its 15th year as the premier Texas Gulf Coast Birding Event. This is the signature annual event for Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council. This festival is scheduled for April 6-9, 2017. They work tirelessly to showcase Galveston and the natural beauty that we are all blessed to enjoy on a daily basis. Over 300 species of birds live full or part time on Galveston Island. The upper Texas Gulf Coast is in the middle of the migration flyway used by so many of these beautiful creatures each year. They fly north each Spring and south each Fall. Hundreds of millions of birds make this journey every year. Galveston FeatherFest 2017 will once again celebrate this annual miracle of nature.

Each year nature and photographic outings are available in which you are able to participate. Birding Field Trips and Birding Workshops are plentiful, but reservations and early ticket purchases are highly recommended as these exceptional activities sell out quickly. You don’t have to be an authority or even a bird lover to enjoy what Galveston FeatherFest 2017 has to offer. It is getting to know and see Nature and Birds like you have never seen them before.
