The Galveston Food & Wine Festival is an annual event. This year the festivities are from Friday May 5, 2017 through Saturday May 6, 2017. The Galveston Convention Center, located at 5600 Seawall Blvd. will host the 2017 edition of The Galveston Food & Wine Festival. Parking is available in the Convention Center’s Parking Garage. This year you can expect exhibits from many of Galveston’s very talented local artists. Many of our finest restaurants will be providing a thoughtful and very tasty selection of their most popular and exotic dishes. As most of you Galveston Food & Wine Festival veterans know, you can expect terrific entertainment from near and far.

Galveston Food & Wine Festival Has it All!

This fun filled Adult Festival features everything you should expect from an event like this. Please leave the children at home, as this really exciting week-end is catering to adults. Artists of many disciplines will attend and display their unique creations for your visual pleasure. Entertainment in the form of music will be present throughout both days and evenings. The musicians will capture your attention with their home grown style and expertise. Food from Galveston’s finest restaurants will be available for tasting and consumption as you desire. The sheer variety of these delectable treats will amaze you. And then there is the Wine. Over 100 different vintages are being presented for your approval. The Galveston Food & Wine Festival is offering bottomless tasting so that you can stop and savor the wines that are to your liking.

This entire event, Galveston Food & Wine Festival, will be chalked full of information, as well as, products. You can leisurely talk with the Artists, Musicians, Chefs, and Winery Owners regarding information that you would like to know about their specific products. So, you can learn while you sample! If you really enjoy a specific dish . . . talk to the chef and learn how to make it. If you are enamored with a wine . . . chat with the vineyard staff and learn more about those specific grapes. Or the specific aging process.

Food and Wine Festival means fun, fun, & more fun!. The Food and Wine Festival of Galveston runs from April 10th through April 17th, 2016. Everyday, beginning Monday the 10th Galveston Island will feature an exclusive event. This outstanding festival will showcase Restaurants, Chefs, and Special Wines. If you enjoy terrific wine, this week was created for your enjoyment. It will also debut many creative foods, presented tapas style. Paired dinners prepared by award winning chefs will be available each night to tempt your dining curiosity. Go ahead, be brave!

Food and Wine Festival;

Toast celebrated wines with friends and new acquaintances at special events. This years Food and Wine Festival will be offering unique cooking demonstrations, food and wine seminars, and a few exclusive parties. Galveston Island will become the focal point for Foodies & Wine Lovers for an entire week this coming April. Make plans. Attend as many or as few events as you like. Enjoy, relax, and by all means participate in the Food and Wine Festival.

This is really a month long event that begins in Houston and comes to Galveston Island for a week full of festivities. One of the more unique events will be the First Annual 5K run. This will take place on Saturday, April 16th throughout downtown Galveston. The finish line will be filled with gazillions of tiny bubbles. Upon completion of the run take advantage of a FRESH Mimosa at the after party. Oh yeah, here’s the cool part. The official winner of the 5K Run will win his or her weight in Champagne. Now that’s what I call a festive Grand Prize.

Robert Irvine is this years celebrity chef. He will be giving live cooking demonstrations Saturday afternoon and also will set aside time for a book signing. Meet and learn from some of the finest chefs in the world. Enjoy food, enjoy wine, enjoy the food and wine festival. That’s what festivals are designed to offer. Enjoyment. See you there!
