Buccaneer Bash ? The Galveston West Beach Lions Club proudly sponsors the 6th Annual Buccaneer Bash on Saturday, September 5th. This years event starts at 6:00 PM. The Buccaneer Bash is held at Jamaica Beach Park, 16721 Jolly Roger Rd. on the West End of Galveston Island. It is within the village of Jamaica Beach. Admission is FREE. Bar B Que dinners are available for $10.00. Water, soft drinks, beer, and wine are available. David Schwopes and his Fabulous Band are back for their 6th appearance. Raffle items and silent auction are back again. The Lost Treasure Give-A-Way continues to be the most wildly popular part of The Buccaneer Bash. This year the Galveston West Beach Lions will be giving away on six drawings $300, $400, $500, $800, $1,000, & $10,000. This years drawing will begin at 9:00 PM sharp. Galveston?Island Shrimp Festival ? This years Galveston Island Shrimp Festival will be held Friday September 25th through Sunday September 27th. Seangerfest Park at 2302 Strand is home to this event.?Galveston Island is a seafood lover?s paradise. Yaga?s Entertainment Inc. sponsors this years event. The Galveston Island Shrimp Festival is a family friendly Strand Area event and will feature some of the BEST Shrimp Gumbo the entire Gulf Coast has to offer. You will be able to enjoy shrimp anyway you like it and have as much as you can eat. The Galveston Island Shrimp Festival promises not to run out of shrimp!?This year we are also including a?FREE Outdoors Show.
