Galveston Beaches with waves

Galveston Beaches Ready

Posted by Marilyn Swanson on
 April 1, 2018

Galveston Beaches have welcomed a larger than normal attendance so far in 2018. The warm sunny days have enticed folks to come to Galveston Beaches in record numbers during March 2018. The water temperature is only 72 degrees, but lots of swimmers and surfers have taken on the challenge. Beach combers are plentiful and looking for shells and treasure as they walk the pristine shore line. You never know what may wash up on the beach. That excitement and sense of unknowing is what drives beach walkers and beach combers to get out to the beach and see what they can find! When is the last time you went to one of the Galveston Beaches looking for shells and other things of interest? Me too! I need to get out and enjoy nature and the sunshine and all that the Gulf of Mexico has to offer.

Galveston Beaches Attract Visitors;

Speckled Trout season is about to explode upon Galveston Island and the fishermen will be out trying to catch their daily limits. They all have their preferred method of fishing. They also usually have a favorite bait. Boats will be all over Galveston Bay and West Bay trying to find that spot that no one else has found yet. Each year this tradition continues. It’s like a ritual for the most avid fishermen. It is very exciting to feel a nice 3 pound trout on your line. Getting him onto your stringer is even more fun. And the taste is wonderful. Speckled Trout is truly a wonderful meal. Most trout fans never get tired of eating them. I know I don’t!
